52 Summers of Dreams Come True – Camp Dream Street

Monday, May 25, 2026 marked the opening day of the 52nd Summer of Camp Dream Street!
38 campers and 7 Great Expectations(GE) participants entered camp ready to have the best summer ever participating in sports, arts, cooking, swimming, and creative evening programs.
The campers and participants are supported by incredible counselors, program staff, and professional staff made up of current and former NFTY Southern participants who are all focused on making camp a fun, transformative and safe experience. Beyond the incredible impact Camp Dream Street has on the campers and participants, counselors, program staff, and leadership team build leadership skills, self-confidence, and responsibility through a Jewish lens.
Henry S. Jacobs Camp is proud to host Dream Street each and every summer.
But, Camp Dream Street doesn’t happen by magic. Camp Dream Street costs approximately $150,000 each year and is provided completely free of charge for both campers and counselors. Dream Street relies on the generosity of the NFTY Southern alumni and community to help continue to make this life-changing program possible.
As we kick off another summer, we hope you will consider making a contribution to help support this incredible program and the life-changing experiences it provides.
Camp Dream Street, hosted by NFTY Southern, is the longest-running NFTY Mitzvah Corps program and the only program of its kind serving children with disabilities.
