In 2020, YOU stood by Jacobs Camp! Through the doubt and uncertainty, YOU lent your support when we needed YOU most! THANK YOU!

But who are YOU?

YOU, of course, are a generous donor to Henry S. Jacobs Camp, and we are extremely grateful for your support last year!

Let’s get to know a little more about YOU!

You are 1 of the 1178 people who made a gift in 2020. You helped us raise $983,245.54 in operating support for our Sustainability Campaign AND $292,685.16 in scholarship and capital support for our Road to Welcome Home Campaign. And you might just be 1 of the 178 people who supported both! You also may be 1 of the 369 brand new donors to Jacobs Camp in 2020! I’d like to extend a warm welcome and “thank you” to you for supporting our organization!

What’s most important, though, is the impact that YOU made with your gift!

Jacobs Camp was the 1st URJ Camp to meet and exceed our Sustainability Campaign goal, which allowed us to focus on connecting with our community throughout the summer months. Because of your generous giving March through August, we were able to engage close to 300 campers, staff, and alumni in creative and fun HSJ 365 programming and spread the Jacobs Magic in a time when our family needed it most! On top of HSJ 365, you helped cover other important expenses like insurance and infrastructure, site management, and year-round staff!

When you gave to the Road to Welcome Home Campaign, you committed to bringing our currently over 400 campers home to Jacobs Camp in 2021 for another life-changing experience. You made sure that Jacobs Camp can provide financial assistance to every child and family who needs it for Summer 2021. You have shown that you share our belief that no child should miss out on an important summer camp experience because of finances!

We are also in the midst of planning the detailed policies and procedures that we will be implementing at camp this summer. Your gift will also go to supporting these plans by purchasing the advanced cleaning supplies and PPE, covering facility changes, and hiring more cleaning staff that will be required to operate safely in Summer 2021.

In a year that tested the strength of our 51 year history, YOU helped us meet the challenge and emerge strongly on the other side on the Road to Welcome Home! We cannot wait to share in the excitement and joy with you on Sunday, June 13th when we open our iconic gates onto another summer of life-long friendships, incredible programming, and Jewish joy!
