I grew up in Memphis, TN but during the year I live in Tuscaloosa attending the University of Alabama. I am a rising senior majoring in Public Health with a minor in Human Development. Along with school, I am also involved in research and have an internship with a non-profit doula organization in Birmingham. This will be my 13th summer at Jacobs Camp! I was a camper for all 8 summers, did Solelim, and was a counselor 2 summers ago. I am SO excited to come back this summer as a Unit Head, because camp is such a special place to me. This is really a full circle moment for me, as I grew up going to camp and my parents met here!

Hi, I’m Noa and I’m from Israel. I served in the army for the last three years as a commander. I’m coming to camp for the first time and I’m going to be a counselor. I have several hobbies that include: reading, singing and drawing. I’m very excited to see you all during the summer!

Hi! My name is Brenna Lake and this is my second year at Jacobs Camp! I’m from Nebraska where I work full-time and also work at my synagogue. I’ve spent the past year teaching 3-9th graders and I absolutely love it. During camp however, I spend as much time in the pool as I can. I’m looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new friends!

Howdy! My name is Lou Bilble (he/they/she), and I’m from Austin, Texas.I am the middle child in a family of 5 Jacobs Camp campers, and this is my 9th summer that I’ll be at home with my Jacobs family. This is my first session as an in-cabin counselor and I am also learning song leading. I love to create art, sculpture, crochet, poetry, and music. I am a good listener and I love celebrating the accomplishments of others. My favorite Jacobs Camp tradition is Israeli dancing on Friday nights! I am so excited to make HSJ memories with all of the campers this session! 

I am Eli Lewis, and I am from Memphis, Tennessee. I am super excited to return to camp as a first year counselor. I was a camper from Olim all the way through talmadim. In my free time I play sports, mainly soccer and basketball, hang out with friends, or workout. I do lots of volunteer work with all different types of people from children with disabilities to Homeless adults. I plan on attending University of Alabama next year for college.

My name is Elon Lovette and I am from Charleston, SC. My role is a cabin counselor and lifeguard. Summer 2023 will be my second summer at Jacobs Camp. I have been working during the year but will be starting school at the College of Charleston after this summer.

I am Louis. I am from Arkansas. I go to school at Dension University in Ohio. I have been going to this camp since I was a kid and this is my third year on staff.

My name is Jordan and I am from Memphis, Tennessee. I am currently attending the University of Michigan and will graduate in 2026. I am so thrilled to be a counselor for the second year in a row and cannot wait to meet my campers and spend another year at Jacobs Camp!

Hey my name is Tomer Shahar. I’m living in Moshav Habonim (Moshav its a small village) in Israel, I live right in front of the sea, I like to spend time with my friends and family, surfing or just chilling in the beach, listening to old music and I also like to ride my bike and doing tricks with them. I recently got released from the Israeli Navy after almost 3 years as a mechanic engineer on a battleship. This summer will be my first year in a summer camp ever and I’m really stoked to start already.

Hi! My name is Will Dodson, and I am from Cape Girardeau, Missouri. During the year, I attend the University of Alabama and study Human Development on a Pre-Medical track. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family, working out, and playing golf. I will be a counselor at Jacobs Camp this summer and this is my very first year at Jacobs Camp! During the year, I enjoy participating in Mission Trips, as well as volunteering with organizations that help feed the less fortunate and keep them warm during the cold, Midwestern winters!
