MASKILIM STAFF

Hi! My name is Rebecca Lewis and I am from Memphis, TN. I recently graduated from the University of Alabama with a major in Public Health and a minor in Human Development. After camp, I will be starting a new job as the Programs Assistant for a non profit doula organization based in Birmingham. This will be my 13th summer at camp overall, and 4th summer on staff. I was the Maskilim Unit Head last summer and am so excited to be coming back for a second summer!

My Name is Talia Fleisig and I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama but I currently live in Holly Springs, Georgia! I am currently not in school and instead spent the past year working several jobs. This will be my 14th summer at HSJ and my 5th year on staff! First session, I spent my time working with our Solelim participants, helping train them to be the next round of amazing staff members/counselors and this session, I am thrilled to be joining forces with Rebecca Lewis in Maskilim to create a magical summer for our campers! 

Hi my name is Ella-rose and I am coming from Liverpool, United Kingdom. During the year, you can find me spending time with my friend’s dogs, traveling to London, and spending time with my friends and family. I look forward to sharing my culture with the campers. This is my first summer at camp and I am so excited to be in Utica, Mississippi for the summer!

My name is Lucy and I am 18 years old and I am coming from United Kingdom! This is my first summer at camp and I am looking forward to making arts and crafts, swimming in the lake, and meeting new friends! We are going to make so many friendship bracelets and beautiful works of art this summer! I can’t wait!

Hi! My name is Remy Finkelstein. I’m from New Orleans but I’m an incoming sophomore at Emory University in Atlanta primarily studying Linguistics. I’m going to be a counselor for my second year in a row but I started at Jacobs all the way in Maskilim I! I do a lot of volunteer work with my sorority Pi Phi through our philanthropy Read Lead Achieve and am also excited to work at Dreamstreet this summer!

Hi, my name is Morgan! I’m from Memphis, TN, and I am currently a sophomore college student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. This will be my fourth year at camp, and my first year as a staff member. I’ve done a variety of volunteer work, including building beds for underprivileged children and clearing out invasive species from a local park. I am excited to get to know everyone at camp this year!

Hi! My name is Sarah Hochman. I am from Memphis, Tennessee and plan to attend Dartmouth College in the fall as a freshman studying government. This will be my 7th summer at camp, and I can’t wait to be a cabin counselor! During the year, I love to explore the outdoors, bake, read, and play with my dogs. I also do a lot of dance, theatre, and volunteer work with my synagogue and other community organizations in my free time. See y’all soon!

My name is Phoebe Kay. I am from Alpharetta GA. I am a rising senior in high school. I love to hang with friends and watch football. During my free time I love to take naps. I’ve been a camper for 10 years and I can’t wait to be a counslor!!

My name is Noga and I’m from Israel. I live in Ramat Gan (near Tel Aviv). Last month, I got released from the Israeli Army. This is my first time at camp ever. I love to dance, mainly hip hop and contemporary.

I’m BB Rubin, and I’m from Alexandria Louisiana. I’ve been attending jacobs camp every year since I can remember and can’t wait for many more! I will be an in cabin counselor this summer as well as a lifegaurd! I love participating in Dream Street and I work with kids all year around between babysitting and working at a family entertainment center. Camp Jacobs is my second home and I’m excited to be back!!

I’m from Puebla, Mexico. Usually, I study, train for rugby, and spend time with my friends. I’m going to be a counselor and this is my first summer at Jacobs Camp. I like to go on missions to help people in rural communities.
