OLIM B 2024 STAFF

Hi! My name is Rachel, and this is my 5th year on staff at HSJ. I was the the Solelim Director first session, and this session I am thrilled to be the Olim Unit Head! I just graduated from SMU in Dallas with my M.S. in Organizational Psychology, and I will be working in HR at Michaels (the craft company!) starting this August. In my free time, I foster kittens (I’ve had 16 over the last year) and I enjoy making charcuterie boards, going on walks, and trying new restaurants. I’m sooo excited to be back at camp this summer and watch the Solelim of 2024 bloom into amazing Junior Counselors! 

Hi, my name is Sarah Blen, I’m from Memphis, Tennessee, and I go to Temple Israel. Last summer I was a participant in Solelim and I am so excited to be a counselor this year. I can’t wait to apply all that I’ve learned and create amazing summer memories for my cabin!

Hi! My name is Sylvie Bella Brown, and I am from Atlanta, Georgia. After eight summer at camp, I can’t wait to make sure my campers have the same incredible experiences that I had growing up!

Hey y’all! My name is Nathaniel Carter, and I am from Bentonville, Arkansas. I have been coming to camp from ten years and I can’t wait to be a Junior Counselor for Olim! I am super excited to be a staff member this session and be a staff member for future generations of campers!

My name is Eli Goldman.This will be my 5th summer on staff and my 5th time as a counselor for Olim. I recently started working full time and I thought I wouldn’t get the opportunity to be able to work at camp but I decided to return for Second Session, and I am really excited to see new and old staff, as well as campers and get to continue spending my summer at one of my favorite places on Earth!

Hi Y’all, my name is Bug from Kenner, LA. During my free time, I play club soccer, and our team actually won the state championship last year. Since this is my 5th summer at Jacobs Camp, I am really looking forward to being an Olim counselor. I want to make sure that my campers have the same life changing experiences that I had at camp!

Hi! I am Emmie Infeld, and I am from Memphis TN! I just graduated high school and will be going to the University of Michigan next year. I have been going to camp since I was 6 years old, and this will be my second year on staff. During the year I do track and field. I also volunteer at a free tutoring program for ACT math. I’m so excited for summer!

Hey, my name is Eli Lewis, and I am a returning counselor. I just completed my freshman year at the University of Alabama. I am super excited to return for my 10th year at camp. I look forward to making everyone’s summer great.

My name is Alex Levingston. I am from Atlanta, Georgia. I am going into my senior year of high school, and I have been coming to camp for ten years since Olim. I am so excited to be an Olim counselor because I remember how fun my first summer was!. During my free time I love to exercise, play video games, and spend time with my dogs. I am ready to contribute to a great summer at camp.

Hi! I’m Hayden Miller, a rising junior at University of Texas, and I am originally from Memphis, TN. I have been coming to Jacobs Camp since my Olim year, and so I am thrilled to be an Olim counselor this session. I remember meeting some lifelong friends my Olim year of camp and can’t wait to watch these friendships form this summer!

My name is Elissa Roser, and I’m from Houston, Texas. I’ve been a camper at Jacobs Camp for 8 years and this summer, I was a Solelim participant 1st Session and now, I am an Olim Junior Counselor! I’m so excited to have a fun summer with Olim and grow on the skills that I’ve learned during my time as a Solelim participant!

My name is Amalia Shapiro, I’m from Memphis Tennessee. As a rising senior, during my free time I pole vault and hang out with my friends! I have been a camper for 10 years. I’m excited to meet new people and swim in the lake.
