Hayley Royal – Olim Unit Head
Hi! My name is Hayley Royal and I am so excited to return to Camp for my twelfth summer! I am originally from Memphis, but I currently live in Baton Rouge where I am studying to become a speech language pathologist at LSU. This summer, I will be the Olim unit head and I absolutely cannot wait to spend my summer with camp’s youngest campers!

Savannah Garst
Hi!! My name is Savannah Garst, and I am from Clemson, South Carolina. I currently attend the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!!), and I am studying Cellular Biology on the Pre-Dental Track. I am so beyond excited to be back for my 3rd summer on staff as a counselor and lifeguard, and you may even see me in the infirmary helping out from time to time. During the school year, I am very involved with Chabad at UGA as well as the UGA Honors College. When not studying, you’ll see me playing tennis, trying out new restaurants, going to the lake with my friends, or working out. I am so excited to be back at my second home for another spectacular summer!!
Ava Jalenak
I am from Memphis TN. I just graduated high school and will attend college at Auburn University in the fall. My role this summer will be a counselor as well as lifeguard. I have been to camp every summer since I was in Garin. I volunteer with the organization Girls on the Run helping out with their 5k race or being one of their junior coaches.
Sofia Jalenak
I am from Memphis, TN. I volunteer and lead services at my temple each Sunday. My role at camp this year is a counselor. I have been at jacobs for 7 years so this will be my 8th summer!
Zoe Rubenstein
My name is Zoe and I am from Oxford, Mississippi. This will be my 10th summer at camp and second summer on staff! I am currently a rising sophomore at the University of Mississippi studying pre-nursing. I have been dancing for 17 years and I now enjoy teaching dance classes for 5-7 year olds. I am so excited to spend another summer at camp as an Olim counselor. My favorite thing about camp is making lifelong memories and I cannot wait to do that this summer.
Sarah Zimmerman
Hi, my name is Sarah Zimmerman! I’m from Pensacola, Florida and I’ve gone to camp for ten years! I go to Temple Beth El and helped teach a kindergarten and first grade class. I was Solelim first session and I am super excited to become a counselor and meet my campers and create amazing memories with them!
Sarah Blen
Hi my name is Sarah Blen, I’m from Memphis, Tennessee, and I go to Temple Israel. I’ll be a counselor this session after being apart of Solelim first session. I can’t wait to apply all that I’ve learned these past few weeks to a cabin of campers. I’m most excited to be in the art room and also get to know my cabin.
Mimi Reagler
My name is Mimi Reagler and I am from Hot Springs, Arkansas. My favorite color is purple. I have gone to camp for ten years and this past session (Session 1, 2023), I was a Solelim participant. I am so excited to be a counselor this session! My favorite place at camp is the Adventure area.
Antonio Richaud
I am a Mexican Univeristy student and I love sports and science. My main job at Jacobs Camp is to be a counselor and I love taking care of the campers. I look forward to meeting all of the campers for second session!
Mo Gilbert
Hey y’all! I’m Mo from Memphis, TN. I am going to Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, studying Psychology and Philosophy. In my free time, I absolutely love hiking and finding new things to cook. This is my 11th summer camp and I am so excited to be an Olim counselor this session!
Luis Javi Gutierrez Marquez
Hi, my name is Luis Javier, but you can also call me Javi. I was born and raised in Mexico and I’m currently studying Mechatronics in Puebla. First session, I was on the Operations Support Crew and I am so excited to be on Olim staff this session! This is my first summer working at a camp and it’s already been such an amazing summer! Every year my family and I collect toys and clothes for children in underdeveloped cities in Mexico.
Westley Kleinman
Hey! My name is Westley Kleinman and I am from Hot Springs, Arkansas. I have been going to camp for ten years now, starting with Olim and going forward. I am a Solelim participant and I am super excited to be on Olim staff this session! In my free time, you would probably find me mountain biking, training for a biking race!
Sam Hochhauser
My name is Samuel Hochhauser but I go by Sam. I am from Fairhope, Alabama and I am 17 years old. I am good at talking to kids and I enjoy sports and aquatics. I teach at my local Sunday School with the pre-school class and I play piano during my free time. My goal this summer is to create an amazing summer experience for my campers and I cannot wait for the session to start!
