OUT OF CABIN STAFF

Hi I’m Levi I’m from Alabaster Alabama. I cook most of the time but this summer I’m switching it up and doing operations management. I’ve been coming to camp as a kid for years and even my mom was one of the nurses at camp. I like to do solo volunteer work going around and helping whoever.

I am from Orizaba Veracruz, Mexico and I am a collage student, so I study very often. This is my first time at Jacobs Camp and I am very excited. During the year, I work with my family and neighbors by collecting food and other items for people that really need that help and it gives me a lot of joy.

I am Emiliano Pozos, I am from Xalapa Veracruz Mexico, my role at the camp is in the kitchen, I am a student, it is my first year at the camp. This year I worked as a volunteer on a documentary tour in my city

I am German but i like people call me monkey or germonkey, some in camp already know me, i am from a little city in Mexico called Xalapa where Jalapeno pepper is from, this is my second year at jacobs camp and this year ill be in ops crew again, i am looking forward see y’all. During the year i work in a science and technology museum in my city as a volunteer guide where i explain to the people about science and i give workshop to the children.

I ́m from puebla. During the year I dedicate myself to my studies and work in my father’s business. I am part of the operations team and last year I was in the cabins team. This is my second year In my dad’s job I am a receptionist for home deliveries, so I practice customer service, I am also a photographer for events and public relations.

This is Mariana Quechol i,m from Mexico city, but i live in a small town in veracruz called Chavarrillo. I ́m in my third year of university and i have a grocery store, I practically dedicate myself to school and my business. This is my second summer being part of the staff (ops crew) and i ́m so excited.

My name is Rodrigo, I am from Puebla, Mexico. It’s my first time at camp. I’m suportt staff. My activities are studying law full time at BUAP and playing soccer in my free time. I consider myself a patient and calm person, I always seek to solve problems in the best way and always support those who need it.

My name is Troy Hottel, I am from Birmingham, Alabama. During the year, I currently work in retail at TJ Maxx. My role at camp this summer is a sports specialist. Previously, I have been a Garin Unit counselor for two summers. This will be my third summer at camp, and I am excited to be back after not coming to camp last summer.

I’m Vanessa Ramirez Garcia, I’m from San Martin Texmelucan Puebla, Mexico, during the year I study full time, I’m currently studying law at the Benemerita Univeridad Autonoma de Puebla BUAP, this year I started practicing flag football, my role at the camp is to work as support staff helping the camp always look great for everyone, this is going to be my second summer at Jacobs Camp and I’m very excited about it.

I am from Colombia, I am studing during this year and in the camp i will work in the operations crew, this is my second year.

Hi, I’m Yoceline Islas, I’m from Tlaxcala Mexico (the smallest state in the country). I’m a student of a degree in international business, I’m currently in my last year of my degree, this year I will be a support staff in the operations crew, this is my first summer at Jacobs camp but I have experience since it is my third summer at a camp. In Mexico I volunteer as a substitute teacher in a primary school for first grade children, I help them with their homework and with any topic that is complicated for them.

I’m a photographer and a full time student, currently enrolled in the social sciences school in the Universidad Iberoamericana in México, where I also play rugby. I’m very excited as this will be my first summer as photographer at Jacobs Camp.

My name is Emuna and I am so excited to be a photographer for my Second Session at Jacobs Camp! I am coming from Israel and this summer is my very first summer at Jacobs Camp. I have had a ton of fun so far and I know it will only get better this session! I am excited to photograph the campers trying new things and I am also excited to try new things myself!

My name is Ana Lau, I ́m studying cinematography, i love cinema and musical teather. I ́m from Mexico, I live in Puebla. I ́m content creator and community manager. In the camp my role will be video counselor, I will record about the campers and all activities, is my first summer so i ́m excited.

Hi, my name is Cemarri, but I prefer CeCe . During the year I am a teacher assistant at Ann Smith Elementary and attend school online. My role at camp will be a nanny for Rafi. This is my first year at Jacobs Camp. 

Joanna is excited to be joining camp for the very first time as a Community Care Specialist. Joanna grew up in the New Orleans area and went to college in the Dallas area. She returned home in 2019 and achieved a Master’s in Social Work from Tulane in 2021. Joanna is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides counseling to students at an elementary and middle school in New Orleans East. When she is not working, Joanna enjoys reading, cooking, swimming, and spending time outside with her partner and dog.

I am from Hot Springs, Arkansas. I go to college at Denison University. This is my fourth summer working at camp. I am the adventure head, and I am also doing a history internship. When I can I help out at events at my school.

Hi, I’m Maddie! I’m from New Orleans, and I’m a nursing student at the University of Alabama. This year I’m running the health center at camp. This will be my 11th summer at camp. During the year I work with B+ to raise money for kids with cancer. I’m super excited to be back at camp!!
