Ana Finger
Hi everyone! My name is Ana Finger, and I am SO EXCITED to be back at Jacobs Camp! This will be my ninth year at camp and my fifth year on staff! I have been a Talmidim and Chalutzim counselor, an assistant Talmidim unit head, and I could not be more excited to be the Talmidim unit head this summer! I grew up in New Orleans, graduated from Newman in 2021, and am a current junior at New York University. My major is psychology and my minors are Hebrew and Judaic studies, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies. This is going to be the best summer ever, and I cannot wait to welcome everyone home!

Pedro Felipe Bonilla Bastidas
My name is Pedro Felipe Bonilla Bastidas, I am 21 years old, I live in Popayán Colombia, and I am studying industrial engineering in University. This will be my first time at Jacobs Camp, and my I’m so excited to be a counselor. I love to volunteer with my local Rotary Club and travel. In fact, I even spent time studying abroad in France.
Alma “Val” Carballido Carillo
Hi, my name is Val, and I am from Puebla, Mexico! In my University, I am on the cheerleading team, and I can’t wait to share my experience with cheer and tumbling with the campers! This is my first summer, and I can’t wait to meet all of the Jacobs campers! In my free time at home, I love spending time with my friends and exploring our city!
Clio Cartin
Hi, I’m Clio, from Arlington, VA! As a camper at Jacobs Camp, I couldn’t wait to be counselor! This summer is a dream come true! I look forward to meeting all my campers and giving them the same experience that I had as a camper! I am a rising Sophomore at The College of William & Mary where I am very involved in Model UN, the school rugby club team, and my sorority. When I’m not studying, playing rugby, or debating, I volunteer with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Jace Daley
Hi Y’all, I’m Jace Daley from New Orleans! I can’t believe this is my 8th summer at Jacobs Camp. I’m so excited to serve as a counselor this summer to make sure all of my campers have an amazing experience! Right now, I am in school at LSU (Geaux Tigers) for environmental engineering, and in my free time, I run my very own weekly Super Smash Bros tournament for over 30 LSU students on campus!
Roni Karviv
My name is Roni, and I am from Israel. During my first summer at Jacobs Camp, I can’t wait to meet all of the amazing campers I’ve heard so much about from the returning Mishlachat. I’m so excited to share my heritage and culture with every Jacobs Camper!
Brenna Lake
Hi I’m Brenna from Omaha, Nebraska! This will be my third year at camp and on staff. My favorite parts of camp are Rib Night and Messy Night! This year, I look forward to being a counselor and an Adventure Specialist! Helping campers conquer their fear of heights and learn leadership skills is something that happens best at camp! At home, I am a restaurant manager and teach 6th & 7th grade religious school.
Avery Neuer
Hi! I’m Avery and I’m from Newnan, Georgia. I just finished my freshman year at Emory University where I’m studying Philosophy, Politics, and Law on the Pre-Law Track. At Emory, I am a member of many clubs including volunteer organizations, philosophy clubs, debate/dialogue teams, and a few different exercise clubs. In my free time, I love reading, listening to music, and weightlifting. At Jacobs Camp, I’ll be a first-year counselor and lifeguard! During previous summers, I spent a lot of time working in my local homeless shelter and food bank where I connected with families while passing out hot meals and any necessities they might need. I am so excited to start my first summer at Jacobs, and cannot wait to meet all my future campers!
Hector Jimenez Ochoa
My name is name is Hector, and I am from Puebla, Mexico. During my first summer at Jacobs Camp, I look forward to playing soccer, making lifelong memories, annd learn so many new things! I cannot wait to meet the Talmidim campers and spend the summer with them.
Guy Perry
Hey! My name is Guy, and I am 21 year old living in Israel. I love to workout, travel, and listen to live music. This is my first summer at Jacobs Camp and I can’t wait to meet my cabin and have a fun summer!
Tomer Shahar
Hey Y’all, my name is Tomer Shamar, and I live in Moshav Habonim on the coast of Israel! During my free time, I like to hanging out with my friends and family, surfing or just chilling in the beach, listening to old music, and riding my bike. I recently got released from the Israeli Navy after almost 3 years as a mechanic engineer on a battleship. This summer will be my second year in a summer camp ever and I’m really excited to be back!
Ben Shoemaker
My name is Ben Shoemaker, and I’m thrilled to be an in-camp counselor at Henry S. Jacobs Camp this summer. I come from Wilmette, IL and have been so happy to find my second home within camp’s warm and inclusive community. I just finished my freshman year at UIUC studying electrical engineering and am looking forward to my sixth summer at camp (three as a camper, three on staff).
Mika Sperling
My name is Mika, I’m 21 years old, originally from Tel Aviv, Israel. I finished my military service and reserve duty as a medical instructor two months ago, and now I’m in a gap year before going to university. This is my first time in camp and I’m thrilled to meet all of my campers! I look forward to teaching art and yoga at camp!
Amit Weingarten
My name is Amit Weingarten, and I am from Tel Aviv, Israel. I was released from the army last month after two years of service. I was responsible for teaching and leading the soldiers of my unit. I’m so excited for my first summer at Jacobs Camp where I will help with art and cabin hour!
