Ben Gettleman
My name is Ben Gettleman and I am from Katy, Texas. I am graduating from Texas A&M University in May 2023 with a BA in Communication and plan on going into Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion after spending this summer at camp! This is my first summer at Jacobs Camp and I am super excited to be a Unit Head! At my university, I have been working for the LGBTQ+ Pride Center overseeing programming and social media for the past 2 years, started an organization for LGBTQ+ freshmen, and helped to run 24 Freshmen Leadership Organizations.

Elizabeth Francis
Hello, I’m Elizabeth! I’m from New Orleans and it’s my very first year at camp. I’m excited to work as a bunk counselor this summer. During the year, I volunteer at Animal Rescue New Orleans, learn about languages, and spend time with my friends, family, and pets. This fall, I’m entering my freshman year at Louisiana State University to study mathematics.
Adi Yovel
My name is Adi Yovel and I am 21 years old. I served in the Israeli Air Force but I am so excited to be in Utica, Mississippi this summer. I love reading books, watching movies, and go on hikes in the nature!
Robyn Emmett
I was born in South Africa but live in England, during the year I like to travel Europe with my friends, go on fun spontaneous adventures (hiking, skating, city breaks) and learn new things to cook and bake. This is my first summer at camp and I volunteered through my college last year to clean up the litter in the town centre which I try to do every year.

Zoey Rockoff
Hi! I am Zoey Rockoff (she/her) and I am a third- year staff member. I am originally from Jackson Mississippi but I am currently studying at Kenyon College in Ohio. I am a proud member of the Kenyon College Rugby Club and I have two jobs on campus. I work at the circulation desk and shelve in my college’s library and I am a tour guide. I have been a camper at HSJ since Kochavim! I am so excited about this summer!
Amanda Krinsky
My name is Amanda and I’m from Slidell, Louisiana. During the year I’m a pre- nursing student at LSU. I’ve been a life-time camper, and this is my first summer being a counselor! I love camp and I’m looking forward to bringing Jacobs’s magic to camper’s just like my counselor’s have done for me.
Hadas Lachiany
My name is Hadas and I am from Israel. This is my first year on staff and I’m so excited to be working with Eyal and the campers. We can’t wait to meet you and make this the best summer to have.
Tillie Reagler
Hey y’all! I’m Tillie Reagler from Hot Springs, Arkansas. I will be working as the pool intern and lifeguard this year, and I’m writing the swim lesson curriculum to teach swim lessons this year! Besides that, I am a second-year counselor and am so so excited to meet my campers! Outside of camp, I just finished my first year at the University of Virginia. I am in the Chi Omega sorority, work as a lifeguard, perform with the Cavalier Marching Band and Basketball Band, and participated in a leadership internship through the Hillel! I am so excited to have the entire Reagler clan back at camp for the first time in three years!
Nico Lupin
Hello, my name is Nico Lupin and I am from New Orleans, LA. I just graduated from high school and I am entering New York University in the fall. During the year, I am mostly at school and I work on the weekends as a soccer referee. I have been going to camp since 2014 and this year is my second year on staff and first as a counselor. As class president of my senior class, during the year I am involved with volunteering helping plan and run nearly every school event from open houses to crawfish boils.
Tomer Zalman
My name is Tomer Zalman. I’m from Ganey Tikva, Israel. I work at a restaurant as a waiter. I like to go to the beach and play the computer. I like to play tennis, surf and bike. It is my first time at a camp.
Morry Rubin
My name is Morry and I am from a small town in the north part of Israel called Kfar Vradim, In high school I expanded physics and computer science, I enjoy meeting with friends, playing the saxophone and playing sports such as tennis, rock climbing and volleyball. I just finished my service a month ago, in my service I was a soldier in the communications department of the 50th Battalion of the Nahal Brigade. This will be my first year at camp and i am looking forward to meet you all!
Ben Shoemaker
My name is Ben Shoemaker, and I’m thrilled to be an in-camp counselor at Henry S. Jacobs Camp this summer. I come from the vibrant city of Chicago, and have been so happy to find my second home within camp’s warm and inclusive community. This will be my fifth summer at camp (three as a camper, second on staff) and I couldn’t be more excited to return.
