Totally Renovated Athletic Complex – Coming Summer 2024

In times like these, Jacobs Camp and our Jewish community feels more important than ever before and we know next summer will be more meaningful than ever.
We are pleased to share that renovations to our Athletic Complex have begun – made possible by support from generous donors as part of our upcoming Capital Campaign! During our 2023 summer sessions, we delighted and wowed campers when the announcement was made that in 2024, they would have a completely renovated facility.
The totally renovated Athletic Complex comes as the first step in the upcoming Jacobs Camp Capital Campaign accelerated by a few generous donations. The Jacobs Camp Team and Capital Campaign Committee look forward to sharing our big plans soon and are so grateful for the generous support that enabled Jacobs Camp to fast track this fabulous space for our campers to run, play and celebrate next summer.
Upgrades and expansions our campers will enjoy in Summer 2024:
- Resurfaced indoor basketball court and a new scoreboard
- New gymnastics studio
- Indoor climbing wall
- Flexible Classrooms that provide opportunity for creative and unique programming
- Dedicated outdoor gathering space for small group programming
- Air Conditioning

Jacobs Camp is so grateful to the generous early donors to our upcoming Capital Campaign who have made the renovated Athletic Complex possible for Summer 2024! Our community cares deeply for Jacobs Camp and the role that camp plays in raising strong and proud Jews.

About Jacobs Camp
The mission of Jacobs Camp is to provide a high-quality Jewish camping experience to the children of Southern Jewish communities that enriches and enhances their lives spiritually, intellectually, and physically in a safe and friendly environment. Founded by the Jewish community of our region to provide our youth with a Southern Jewish home, we continue to thrive as a place that develops future Jewish leaders and fosters lifelong connections and friendships.
At Jacobs Camp, children spend the summer molding their future selves—transforming the Jewish beliefs and values they’ve lived and learned from others into a strong and confident identity that will guide their actions for a lifetime.
In the heart of Mississippi, campers, counselors-in-training, and staff experience the magic of Shabbat, build a relationship with Torah, learn about Israel, participate in social action, and are motivated to infuse their home lives with Judaism. Immersed in a wholly Jewish environment, campers build friendships that will last a lifetime and experience a sense of belonging different from their lives outside of camp.
If you would like to join these generous donors by investing in the future of Jacobs Camp as we build Jewish leaders who will share the Jacobs Magic to create a more whole, just, and compassionate world, please email Jacob Fijman.
