Shabbat Shalom from Jacobs Camp!

It is hard to believe that we are already preparing for our last Shabbat together! We are making the most of every moment here at camp and having so much fun with our friends. While the session is coming to a close too soon, I know that we’ll all bring the Jacobs love, spirit, magic and joy with us throughout the year until we can be together again. Take a look at all the fun we had this week in our Week in Review Video!

The highlight this week was Maccabiah, our all-camp color war, with a Monsters Inc. theme. The red, blue, yellow and green teams competed in every possible event including a boat regatta, an all-camp derby, wacky sports, tug-of-war, original songs and dances, an art competition and more! While every team displayed an extraordinary amount of spirit, the winner of this session’s Maccabiah is Adom – the Red Team!

This week in Garin, campers enjoyed fun with chickens, showed off their skills in a unit talent show, played indoor gaga, splashed in the lake and tried out the tower swing!

Maskilim played pickleball and wacky sports, practiced their fashion sketches, and had an epic messy night! Some of our Maskilim cabins celebrated bunk night with an evening at the “spa” followed by a sleepover.

In Talmidim, campers climbed the indoor climbing wall, enjoyed cloud watching, practiced their dance skills, performed in their unit talent show, and got messy on messy night!

This week our Chalutzimers planned both an evening program for Garin campers and a “fake break” for Maccabiah! Our Chalutzim campers have really stepped up as leaders at camp, and we are so proud!

Now it is time for us to celebrate Shabbat with a delicious dinner of roasted chicken and peach cobbler.

Sending love to all of our Jacobs Camp families!

Anna
