Messy Night Magic: Olivia’s Top Highlights from a Camp Favorite

As we say goodbye to our amazing Olim campers this morning, we love reflecting on all the unforgettable memories made during this session—especially the ones that left us covered in paint, soap, and smiles. One of our returning Olim campers, Olivia P., lit up when sharing her favorite moments from one of the most talked-about evening programs of the summer: Messy Night!
Olivia’s Top 5 Favorite Moments of Messy Night:
- Getting water dumped on my head!
“I love when the counselors dump buckets of water on us, it’s cold, but it’s so silly and fun!” - The slip ‘n slides!
“Putting soap on my hands and rushing down the slip ‘n slide was so much fun, especially when I went really fast,” she shared. Campers lined up over and over again for a chance to glide, spin, and splash their way through the soapy course. - Water squirters with my friend Daisy!
With a mission to get as soaked as possible, Olivia and her friend Daisy made a perfect tag team. “We sprayed everyone!” she says, grinning. “But only if they wanted to get messy!” - Spreading the Mess!
One of Olivia’s most cherished memories was being allowed—encouraged, even—to try to get her counselors, Arantza and Anabel, covered in foam and paint. “They got SO messy,” she said proudly. “AND they had fun too!” - Handprint painting fun
“There was paint everywhere! I loved getting it on all over my hands and leaving handprints everywhere,” Olivia told us.
Beyond all the wild fun, Olivia shared something that really stuck with us: “I had the most fun with everyone else who liked to get messy too. It’s more fun when we’re all playing together. But I’d never get someone messy if they didn’t want to”
Messy Night is more than just an evening of silliness—it’s about bonding, laughter, and making memories that will last long after the paint has washed away. Thanks for sharing your highlights with us, Olivia! We already can’t wait for next Summer!
