Thank you Carolyn Harari!

If you had told me six years ago, I would be spending my summers in Utica, Mississippi I would have never believed you. Now, it’s hard to imagine what a summer will look like otherwise
I’m excited for the opportunity to become the Camps and Immersive Manager where I will be working with all the camps within the URJ system. I certainly will be taking all that I have learned at Jacobs into this new role. Certainly in this role I will continue to put relationships first, lead with my values, and add a little razzle dazzle whenever possible.
I’m so proud of my team. Anna, Nadav, Jacob, Zoe, Tori, Sarah, Paige, and David are making the world a better place. I’m so grateful to have this group’s support. Anna there is no one else I would go through covid tests, blackouts, hard moments, or Take an Olimer to Work Day but you. Your leadership is unmatched.
Just as I have watched hundreds of campers grow at Jacobs Camp over the past five summers, I too have grown. I started at camp in the bubble summer of 2021 with my husband and dog. In 2022, we brought a four week old and ever since Rafi has been raised by a camp. Then in 2025, we added Joey to the camp baby crew. The dining hall high chairs were well used! I’ve challenged myself on the disco course, met incredible staff from around the world, and learned from the best campers ever.
Thank you Jacobs Camp for letting me sing on the microphone, test out new ideas, teaching Joey how to crawl, walking Daphne, and making Rafi feel like the coolest kid in the world. Rafi and Joey will always know how lucky they are to be raised by this village.
Jacobs Camp is a home to many and I’m so grateful it is one for our family. It will be a part of us forever.
Love,
Carolyn, Alex, Rafi, Joey, and Daphne
