Steps from Prospect to Closed Gift
- Pick 1-2 of your prospects at a time to work on so you don’t get overwhelmed
- Send an introduction email or text to the prospect (sample text for this can be found below). Clearly express that this is not the solicitation
- Cultivate Prospect – feel out what they are interested in through informal conversations and email/text
- This could be many conversations or as little as one
- Schedule solicitation meeting
- Inform Jacob and Kristin via email the date and time of your solicitation meeting.
- The HSJ team needs 5 business days to produce personalized solicitation materials.
- Conduct the Solicitation Meeting and make the ask
- Follow up with Jacob and Kristin after the meeting to let us know the following:
- Their pledge amount and payment terms, so we can make pledge agreements.
- Any follow up that is needed
- If continued cultivation is needed to close the gift
