Gesher Year: Continuing the HSJ Amusement Park
The Hebrew word for bridge is “gesher.” Now the word bridge, in my opinion, has two different meanings. A bridge can either connect two different things or aid in moving over something, such as a body of water. The Gesher year of camp, in my opinion, fits both ideas of the word bridge.

Wow…I can hardly believe how fast another super busy week of the best summer ever has flown by! It was a fantastic string of days and everyone had a ton of fun. More than that, we recognized how special our community is and took time to appreciate that after waiting nearly the whole year, we were finally all here together in this sacred place that means so much to all of us.

After all the anticipation and waiting, we were thrilled to open the gates on Sunday, so our amazing staff could whoop it up to welcome home a record 226 campers with hugs and high fives, showing everyone just how excited we are to have them back! I am over the moon to be together with our campers again because I know what an incredible summer is in store for them.
Surrounded by Torah at Jacobs Camp
At Henry S. Jacobs Camp, campers are surrounded by Torah. Whether in the form of story, prayer, or actions, Torah is in the air and on our tongues. This is part of the Jacobs Magic I am proud to witness and facilitate as a visiting Educator (and parent of two campers.)

I can hardly believe another week has come and gone at camp! The time is flying, but everyone – campers, counselors, and staff – is having the best summer ever! Fun, adventure, and terrific camp activities fill the days; talent shows, bonfires for s’mores, and bunk nights fill the evenings.
